The Fabulous Five

In the spring of 2011, something happened to me. Inside. I woke up one morning more than a year ago and my world had changed. I could see the brightness of the sunlight before that day in April, but all of a sudden, the sunlight was more than bright, it was brilliant. And I had always heard the chirp, chirp, chirp of the birds that hang in the copper beach tree in my front yard, but now, they sounded like a full orchestra. When I ran my hand down my little dog’s back, I could truly feel the vulnerability of her flesh beneath the many layers of fur. I no longer needed to add salt or other condiments to various meals because I could taste natural flavors.

I could taste individually and blended flavors. I could taste, see, touch, hear and smell life!

While I did not meet a Hugh Jackman and fall head over heels in love, something much more important happened to me. My soul opened up. I began to feel truly alive for the very first time. Ever. And in so doing, my fabulous five started popping. Rather than just seeing clouds when I walk outside, I began to see shapes, patterns, color, and light. And instead of hearing only a piano in a wonderful piece of music, I could now hear the stringed instruments. I began to revel in the feeling of my own heartbeat. And I could taste robust flavors in foods that I had no idea existed.

Water even became the most refreshing liquid on earth!

I simply began to experience the fabulous five the way God intended. The ability to use what we all inherently have to the highest and best use is crucial. For example there are times you may be the one to hear a story beneath a story in a conversation with a friend or colleague who is crying out for help. Or you may be chosen to hear the message of love and reassurance from a beloved who has already passed from this life to the next. Or you may see in a vision tender childhood memories that paint a smile on the lips. The fab five have so much to say to each of us throughout our life experience. Are we listening? They are talking. They are talking in a whisper. Can you hear them? If you inhale deeply, I believe you could smell them. Isn’t that the sweetest fragrance!

The fabulous five are wise, certain and true and will always guide you to what is good and right.

I do not know why my soul just opened up that day last spring but I am so happy that it did.

And when it did, I opened my heart and life fully to the fabulous five and everything changed. I changed.

Wonder what would happen if you did the same?
