A Meditation for Discovering Your Subpersonalities

In part 1, I described my experience of receiving healing for one of my subpersonalities.

What is a subpersonality?

Many different selves/subpersonalities live within each of us. Each has its own feelings and thoughts. They form at different ages as a result of life experiences to protect us. You may have experienced the people pleaser, the wounded inner child, or the critic that limits your finances. These represent a few examples of subpersonalities.

Subpersonalities act as a range of behaviors and feelings which work outside our consciousness and even against our conscious intentions. Some relate to different roles in our lives, some as a result of traumas from childhood. Roberto Assagioli -Psychosynthesis says that we can mold them into a higher unity by recognizing rather than identifying with them.

Our mind, also, has great power as a subpersonality so describing subpersonalities remains a challenge.

I give you the following as a daily meditation practice to begin identifying and dissolving subpersonalities on your own. If you have little time during the day, practice it at night before you go to sleep. The energy can then continue as you sleep.

Connect with each chakra starting with your 1st chakra and chant God in the Body as you breathe into that chakra.

What is God in the Body?

Our minds have no understanding of God in the Body. As young children in our innocence we knew. We have forgotten. As we focus on that part of our body which connects with the chakra, we can even place our hands on this part of our bodies; the chant will begin preparing us for the dissolving of the subpersonality residing there.

If you have meditated for years or sat in the presence of an Awakened Spiritual Being then you may have experienced the sensation of God in the Body. Our minds and subpersonalities hinder us from experiencing this. See the image of the kundalini in the center of the body. This best shows the presence of God in the Body.

Continue the meditation for as long as possible before moving onto to the next chakra. If you have limited time then do another chakra the next night until you have done the meditation for all seven chakras. You may want to continue with a particular chakra for a longer period if a subpersonality(s) live in that chakra.

When practicing this meditation, you may experience little. Keep persevering, doing it through all seven chakras. You may, however, feel energy stuck or moving. You may have an intuitive sense, see an image, colors, or words may come.

A subpersonality lives in different parts of our bodies and chakras. It also resides in parts of our brains. First connect to it in your body, then after some time you may sense it in your head. Know a thought form or belief also ties into a subpersonality for example; I can never succeed, I can’t do this, I am never good enough etc. Notice what thoughts come up as you practice this meditation.

Subpersonalities sabotage us from manifesting the creative power of what we want in our lives. As we heal our subpersonalities, we move into a state of greater Awakening/Oneness sweeping this planet.

Practice Daily. It takes 21 days to change a habit – 21 days in a row or else start over until you have accomplished 21 days in a row. Remember subpersonalities, as habits, have run our lives for years.
